Learning Goal: I’m working on a psychology multi-part question and need an explanation and answer to help me learn.
In this paper, you are to critically evaluate the article by identifying the different parts of the research study and identify where this research can be applied/used in the real world.
The paper should use APA style formatting. Refer to the APA Student Paper Formatting Checklist included in the APA Style Writing Tools folder in Course Content to ensure that your assignment is properly formatted. Correct grammar and spelling are important and will be assessed. The paper should include proper citations in the body of your paper as well as the reference list again using APA style. The WRL may be contacted for assistance with writing mechanics, citations, and paraphrasing. For assistance and questions including regarding choosing a research article contact the reference librarian.
The writing assignment MUST be submitted using Microsoft Word or PDF (preferred). It MUST be uploaded into Blackboard. All submissions will be checked for plagiarism. You must attach a PDF copy of your article when you submit your essay.
There are six aspects to this APA style paper:
II.Introduction And Review Of Theory Or Concept (200-300 Words). Introduce the theory or concept that you will be examining using the information you collected for Part 2 (PART 2 INFO I HAVE ATTACHED).
III.Article Summary (200-300 words). Provide a detailed summary of your research journal article using the information you collected for Part 3 (I WILL HAVE THIS ATTACHED AS WELL).
IV.Research Article Critique (200-300 Words). Critically assess the research journal article by responding to the following questions and prompts:
What are the strengths and weaknesses of this study?
i.In your own words, describe at least one strength and one weakness of the study, explaining why these are strengths and weaknesses. This is your opinion, rather than a repetition of the strengths and limitations as identified by the researchers in the articles.
How would you improve this study? If you were to do the study over again, describe what changes you would make and why these changes would improve the study?
V.Conclusion (200-300 Words). Conclude your paper by responding to the following questions and prompts:
Based on what you have read and learned draw an intellectual conclusion and state a position about the initial research question from your article. Provide your evidence-based opinion about the topic.
State how this information from the article adds to your understanding of the theory or concept. How has reading the article challenged your original ideas about the theory or concept?
Why is this empirical research important?
How does this empirical research impact society, policy or future empirical research? How will you apply that new knowledge to your everyday life?
