contributes to the cognitive, physical, social and emotional well-being
of children and youth. Play also offers an ideal opportunity for parents
to engage fully with their children. Despite the benefits derived from
play for both children and parents, time for free play has been markedly
reduced for some children” (Guinsberg, American Academy of Pediatrics,
2007.).
Discuss
2 strategies you will use to infuse appropriate play into your
classroom. Tell the age or grade of the students (ages 2-grade 1) you
are targeting.
Discuss
at least 2 points you would tell parents who believe that play is not
important to the development of young children, within the context of
the information above and within our readings/class discussion. Make
