Research the museum and present the structure of the institution- meaning employee breakdown and
leadership and board. Then, while engaging with course readings, explain why this particular
undertaking (in collections, programs, a new hire and/or an exhibition) explain why this could be
considered a decolonization effort. Who spearheaded this effort? What team was put in place for this
undertaking? What existed before this effort? Are the museum’s/museum employees’ decolonizing efforts
part of a larger mission or focus? Where is this information available? Could they do more? And based
on your research what could you suggest for this museum to develop decolonization efforts? and why?
