reflect on the case study at Seashell School in Sea County, Florida.

D‌‍‍‍‌‍‍‌‌‍‍‍‌‍‍‍‍‌‍‍ata Collection Instruments This week, you will continue to reflect on the case study at Seashell School in Sea County, Florida. School-based teams of representative stakeholders are best used to collaboratively examine, review, and mine data to further gather evidence to address research questions and create an evidence-based solution. Throughout the process to make an informed decision, data is collected. Data should be gathered from multiple sources, triangulated for validity, and then formulated/depicted in a way that others can clearly understand what is being communicated. Tools for generating, retaining, and articulating data can be Microsoft Excel, Google Sheets, or other embedded data tools used within specific content-related platforms. It is becoming more common for school districts to bring all their data into a data warehouse. Data warehouses are repositories of educational data over multiple years that educational leaders can use to more easily garner relevant and timely information. For educational leaders who may not have experience and confidence in using these tools, many school districts employ data technicians who can support this work. Yet when generating data, one must begin with relevant research questions. The same holds true when working with data technicians; an educational leader must have well-formulated questions before generating data that seeks to provide an evidence-based answer. Specific to communicating data, a researcher must be able to share information in a clear and concise manner. Creating informative visualizations, for example, within a Prezi or Microsoft PowerPoint presentation is an art to be honed. Limiting the text on the actual slides, while using the Notes feature, is vital to not overwhelm the reader or attendee of a presentation. Data can be depicted through words; but it is often best to display the data through charts, graphs, tables, models, diagrams, and even 3-D models. Finally, as an evidence-based researcher, it is important to keep in mind that multiple tools will be needed to analyze dat‌‍‍‍‌‍‍‌‌‍‍‍‌‍‍‍‍‌‍‍a. While it is not necessary to become proficient in the use of every tool, it is important to know what tools exist, and then network to locate support personnel that can support your data collection and subsequent data-driven analysis and evidence-based solution to your initial research questions. Be sure to review these resources (attached) carefully. You are expected to apply the information from these resources when you prepare this assignment. Assignment: Assume you have been selected to provide a presentation to your local school board and/or department heads/grade-level leaders to display and communicate the evidence, supported by data, that you have collected as it relates to the Seashell School in Sea County, Florida, case study introduced last week. Your presentation should include the following: * Provide an explanation of the process you went through to determine your evidence-based findings, including those stakeholders that you would have consulted with and involved as a leader in determining these (feel free to include other educators in this process to further simulate this case study analysis/response). * Explain the evidence-based findings you discovered. Provide examples to support your findings. * Include at least three slides depicting data findings (data mining conducted) in the format of your choosing. You may wish to also include further data that you feel is needed to further elucidate your evidence-based research. * Incorporate appropriate animations, transitions, and graphics as well as speaker notes for each slide. The speaker notes may be comprised of brief paragraphs or bulleted lists. Length: 10-12 slides (with a separate reference slide) Notes Length: 100-250 words for each slide References: Include a minimum of five scholarly resources Your proposal should demonstrate thoughtful consideration of the ideas and concepts that are presented in the course by providing new thoughts and insights relating directly to this topic. Your response should reflect graduate-level writing and APA standards‌‍‍‍‌‍‍‌‌‍‍‍‌‍‍‍‍‌‍‍.
