Is your document or image attempting an accurate representation of the historical topic or is it trying to either glorify or denigrate the subject matter?
Find a primary source image or document. SOURCE MUST BE FROM 1960-1972 Be sure that you are embedding the image in the paper. Answer the following analysis questions about the document or image in your post (you may number your responses in your post or you may write a narrative paragraph that discusses all of these questions): Using the Turabian Citation Method for the primary source 1) How is this document or image related to the historical topic, or in other words, what is the historical context of this source? 2) What specific elements in your document or image have the most relevance to the historical document (use a quote/s from your document or describe the relevant aspect/s or representations of the image)? 3) Who do you think was the audience for your source at the time it was published? 4) How do you think that audience interpreted the document or source? 5) Is your document or image attempting an accurate representation of the historical topic or is it trying to either glorify or denigrate the subject matter? Explain! This question is speaking to the idea of bias or trying to represent a certain perspective as authentically as possible. Think about how ideas are represented to indicate a message and/or messages within the text or the image. 6) How does this document or image expand upon the topic or what is explained in your textbook that enhances your understanding of the topic? The answers to the analysis questions should be a combined minimum of 200 words. This is NOT for each question, but the entire post (if you choose to write out the questions and answer them in the post, the questions will not be considered part of the word count).
