formal analysis paper

Here is what the teacher said what needs to be worked on:
the biggest problem with this paper is that it does not address the question in the assignment. This was supposed to be a formal analysis paper (where you talk mostly about formal issues like line, shape, value, hierarchy/emphasis, and unity. instead you talked almost exclusively about literary/literal issues. The second problem is that almost all of that discussion comes from sources (which you did not cite). Your paraphrasing of these sources so transformed some of these sentences that they no longer make sense nor function grammatically. Let me re-iterate: you do not need to use any sources at all to answer the question for this paper. You need to fix both of these major problems as well as address all of the smaller corrections.
