Steps:
• Reflect on the semester and all of the work you’ve done. Choose one skill, product, experience,
etc. that you want to focus on and write an article about it. You want to share what you learned
and how, and how what you did/made/experienced used your English major/minor skills and will
help you in the career you’re aiming for. This really can be anything from the class: from the
more intangible things like “leadership” or “teamwork” to the more concrete things like “learned
to use Canva and used it to create ____.”
• Write the Reflection Article to meet the following requirements:
o Written with clarity, flow, and a conversational tone more suited to a blog, the LinkedIn
publishing platform, and your specific audience (your LinkedIn connections). Show off
your writing/communication skills to their best advantage.
o Edited to a level ready for public consumption/publication and that gives a professional
impression
o Compelling headline that is clear and concise but not clickbait
o At least one engaging image that is either your own image or curated from an open access
or creative commons source
o Has proper attributions for any outside sources or references used/made
