Write a narrative that tells the story of this moment in time for your chosen, focal child.
Here is the source video for Observation Assignment #2. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WcoKuFw_q_k Instructions: (1) Watch the video carefully. (2) There are three (3) children in this video. Please choose *one* on whom to focus for your narrative. You may give your child a name so that you do not have to keep referring to him/her as the child in a particular, colored shirt. Suggestion: Many educators find it helpful to do a split-page observation sheet first, and then construct a narrative from that document. You do not need to turn in your splitpage sheet; that is only to help you with your narrative. (3) Write a narrative that tells the story of this moment in time for your chosen, focal child. Write in complete sentences and in paragraph form. Be descriptive. Help your reader feel as if she were right there in the classroom. The children are engaging in a fine-motor activity, so be sure to capture the small details of how your focal child is performing this activity. Consider any interactions (or lack thereof) with any adults in the room. (4) I have included on iLearn some narrative samples to guide you. (5) You are required to submit two (2) documents for this assignment: 1) your narrative about your one focal child; and 2) your reflection essay using the same template as for Assignment #1.
