US Political Parties
Students are to turn in 5 articles throughout the semester. Students will pick any article they choose within the topic chosen by the professor. (EX: US Political Parties) Topics and dates are below. Students are to find an article of their liking dealing with the topic at hand. It must be one that looks into the topic given, not an article that simply mentions the topic. The student is to read the article and clearly and concisely summarize the article and the issues it addresses that pertain to the topic (sum it up in paragraph 1). The summary is a minimum of 5 sentences. They are also to give their opinion on the article and the issue that is addresses that pertains to the topic and the impact that the issue in the article may have (give me your opinion in paragraph 2). Your opinion must be a minimum of 15 sentences. Your opinion should be a reflection of you, not what you think the professor wants to hear. You will get the biggest portion of your points on your opinion, but you won’t be judged by it. Liberal, conservative, or whatever, you will not be judged. It must be at least 1 page typed with article attached. Double spaced, 12 pt. font, and a heading. Student must put link to article used on the write up submitted. No link, No Grade! Professor must be able to access the article used on the Article Assignment. Article must be from the year 2022. This is not a group assignment. The student is to do this assignment independently. Each article is worth up to 25 points to accumulate to 100 points. Lowest grade will be dropped. If late, must have permission from the professor to turn in and points may be deducted. All articles will be turned in via Blackboard Assignments by 5:00 pm on the due date. The assignment will appear the day that it is due, under the exam folder under the Course Content. Parameters and deadlines will be applied on the assignment. Professor reserves the right to change the date, topic, and assessment
