Reflect on the historical perspective of work and the relevance on todays’ working environment.
IT’S A health and social care foundation course, the Reference List will contain at least five sources. As a MINIMUM the Reference List should include three academic books. Discuss how work defines us in the UK and the changes to working practices over time since the industrial revolution how work shapes our lives and brings order and stability to society. You will discover how work defines who we are, impacts on our well-being, influences our relationships with others and shapes the way we spend our leisure time. You will also investigate how work classifies our place within society and links to economic environments and political ideologies. LO1: Have a clear understanding of how work and the lack of it, affects individuals socially, physically and psychologically. LO2: Illustrate the reasons for the changes to working practices and link to theoretical perspectives. LO3: Reflect on the historical perspective of work and the relevance on todays’ working environment. LO4: Understand the socio-economic factors that link us to occupational classes.
