Students who play video games in the long term are prone to mental issues such as depression
I’m trying to assess my ( hypothesis): Students who play video games in the long term are prone to mental issues such as depression, and students who play fewer hours of video games experience a lower level of this risk on their mental health outcomes. Independent variable: Frequency (Hours/Duration) in playing video games. Dependent variable: Mental Health Issues I need help with questionnaires that assess the hypothesis above with a scale so I could analyze the data after collecting it from undergraduate students. I will be using a depression scale called the Geriatric Depression Scale (short form). I need assistance with the gaming frequency questionnaire and I want to correlate them with the depression scale if you understand what I mean to see whether the hypothesis is true which is a positive correlation study. Also if you could add a response option for each question for the gaming frequency that would be great so I can add them to my qualtrics survey. Some students won’t be gamers also. Questions could be short like 7-10 max but most importantly assess the above hypothesis directly. Attached below is the depression scale I will be using. If there is any changes need to be done to the above hypothesis if required because the questionnare/scale requires that change to the hypothesis feel free to do that. Thanks in advance and feel free to reach out to me if you have any questions .
