What steps would you take to perform a job analysis
It is often said that it all starts with the Job Analysis! Virtually everything HR Professionals do – recruiting, selecting, compensating, EEO compliance, training, performance management, etc. requires knowing what the job entails and what human traits are needed to do the job well.
Discusses the Job Analysis, but now it’s time to take a deeper dive. Please watch the 2 brief videos below for this assignment.
(1) There are a lot of “job words” in HR and it can be confusing. Please describe the difference between job analysis, job description, and job specification – their relationship to each other should also be discussed (hint – watch the videos the text does not do a great job with this). Basically, define each one, note their importance, discuss how they related to each other. Please note, you can stop the video at 5:10 since you do not need to discuss Job Evaluation in this assignment (200 words minimum)
(2) What steps would you take to perform a job analysis (hint discuss in one of the videos above) and briefly describe those steps. For instance, if one of your steps includes gathering information (hint hint) how would you go about collecting the data? (200 words minimum) Use the videos provided for the writing.
