Watch the episode. Be on the lookout for connections to the 7 Themes covered in lecture and the textbook (e.g., nature & nurture, the active child, mechanisms of change, etc.) and any examples of the 3 Developmental Research Designs (i.e., cross-sectional, longitudinal, and microgenetic). 2. Generate a brief writeup that addresses the following: a. In what ways did the episode highlight the 7 Themes? Were there any of themes that were not addressed? Be specific and give examples. b. Did any of the studies described in the episode utilize a Developmental Research Design? Be specific and give examples. c. Finally, what is one thing about the topic that you learned that you think parents (or people in general) should definitely know? Guidelines: • Your writeup should be approximately 1.5 to 2 double-spaced pages (no longer), using 12pt Times New Roman and 1 inch margins. • Be sure to mention which episode you are analyzing.
