Have an overarching argument.
The memo should be about 2-3 pages (Times New Roman and 1.5-spaced). In the memo, you should focus on some aspect of the readings. Here you can choose to focus on one article or a part of an argument, or you can tie all the readings together in some way. Please note that memos that simply state main points of each article (or one article) are not acceptable. Instead, you are expected to work independently with the ideas presented in the readings, which can include a critical evaluation, pointing out strengths and weaknesses, consider how this may apply in Iceland, or consider how this may apply to your own research interests. Don’t summarise the article/articles, but work with the material in an independent way. When you submit the memo, please add 3 questions that you would like to discuss (should be included in your memo, please number them, and include them at the end of your memo).
