RESPOND TO CLASSMATESClassmate 1 (Payal)The proposal on “How Modern Research Can Help Dyslexic Adults” deserves an A. It has a semi-strong introduction. The author begins with an anecdotal introductory statement includes a personal connection to the topic. The introduction also ends with a research question. The question is open ended. However, there are also some things the introduction lacks. For example, only cons on were mentioned regarding the 1980s methods for working with dyslexic students. The topic sentences for the proposal are strong, but the order of the body paragraphs could be rearranged in order to provide stronger flow and organization. For example, the second body paragraph could be moved as the first one. The proposal can be improved by including more transitions and more data from journal articles? The proposal on “Improving the Mental Health of Younger Generations Worldwide” deserves an B. The proposal begins with an interesting question. Then the author goes does a good job giving relevant background information as well as an anecdotal story. The introduction also ends with a question that is open ended. However, the body paragraphs could be split up into smaller paragraphs. Having two body paragraphs with the amount of information that was in it can be overwhelming for the reader. The author can also improve this by including more transitions. The conclusion was strong and summed up the main points of the proposal. The proposal on Drug Addiction deserves a C. The author begins strong by using a historical research approach however the question is posed in quotation marks. The body paragraphs are surface level and lack topic sentences. The author can improve his proposal by including topic sentences, transitions, and research sources to back up the claims made in the proposal. The organization of the proposal can also be improved. The conclusion does not actually conclude what was stated in the body paragraphs of the proposal.Classmate 2 (Haidy)The writer on “How Modern Research Can Help Dyslexic Adults” connected between the negatives of the past and the positives of the present. The reason for his research are to reach positive results to overcome people’s stumbling in reading. He concluded his introduction with an important question to get to the heart of the topic. The researcher presented the topic sentence that modern methods are better for teaching students who stumbled in reading. After he reviewed the school conditions in the past and present and how teachers responded to them through two researches that support his research and strengthen the introductory statement. We also see that the student presented the third source and it is one of the strongest answers to his question. As for the fourth source, it supports and strengthens the third source. The researcher also provided a fifth source to support the main idea of the topic .The writer also succeeded in convincing the reader that modern methods of dealing with the subject are the most successful at all.And at the conclusion of the topic, many assumptions, especially for the elderly impact of this on their working life, whether at home or at work, he lost the main idea on which the research was based, which is the study life and the extent of its impact on the student, and he paid attention to the results beyond the source, and we see that this weakened the research, especially that the sources he used talks about the impact of school and science on stumbling reading. The beginning is different from the end.
Therefore, the evaluation of this research is in my opinion B.The researcher of “Improving the Mental Health of Younger Generations Worldwide” began with a rhetorical question regarding improving the mental health of young generations around the world, which is how millions of young people in the United States of America still suffer from mental health problems without anyone noticing? The introduction ends with a question that is open ended. However, The researcher submitted two research papers issued in 2018 to support his findings in the question that was presented in the introduction to his research. Then the rest of the supporting and supporting research was submitted with reports issued from the Internet that included the treatment of the problems raised and in the conclusion linking the solutions to all the research provided through effective treatment via the Internet as well as the personal assistance it provides Specialists, family, friends and virtual assistance is the future of mental health assistance in the eyes of researchers.
So my evaluation for this research is B.The researcher ‘Drug Addiction” opened his article with historical information about addiction and then asked a question, in the introduction to his research, why do addicts remain addicted? And back again by asking why is it so difficult to quit smoking? And The body paragraphs is so poor but he tried by presented a single source in 2017 to support his research on the effect of genetic mechanisms to fight drugs. Then he dealt with the historical gradation of addiction, whether to drugs or smoking, but he did not link the historical approach with what was presented in the research on addiction, and he did not present a conclusion to the topic showing the result or solutions. The author can also improve this essay by including more transitions
