Learning Goal: I’m working on a business discussion question and need an explanation and answer to help me learn.Discuss the role that the education system of a country plays in encouraging innovation and entrepreneurship. Focus both on the development of skills and the development of culture / mindset required for innovation and sustainable economic gains. For example, one criticism often leveled at some systems in Asian countries is that while they build the requisite skills, they do not encourage the creative thinking required to spur innovation. Criticisms leveled toward the U.S. education system often say that it focuses too much on critical thinking and creativity, and not enough on the development of specific skills.
