Learning Goal: I’m working on a writing multi-part question and need an explanation and answer to help me learn.Please respond to joseph with 150 words Good morning,I recently researched information relative to lithium-ion batteries. We had an incident at work involving one, so I wanted to gather more information about them and the potential dangers of using them in the workplace. I utilized Google to help with gathering information and pointing me in the direction of any material relating to the topic.The Google search took me all over including documented experiments, NASA and OSHA. I was able to obtain a lot of information consisting of the inner workings of lithium-ion batteries, how to handle them, and the dangers of battery failure. I was able to put this information into a power point to use as a training tool for work. I found that the more I investigated it, the more curious I became about the information.While looking through the data, the primary information gathered from experiments on the batteries that caused failure were very interesting. I didn’t know that when a lithium-ion battery goes into what is referred to as thermal runaway, no fire suppressant used during the experiment stopped it until all the cells erupted. Some of the secondary information that I found from sources such as OSHA were helpful as to creating slides for how to store and handle the batteries appropriately.
