This section of the class experience is about you leading, being led, supervising, making decisions and motivating yourself and your team members on the job and in your daily lives. After reading A Management Tale…on page 81 and the five chapters in this section please give us your personal assessment of how effectively managing your own intrinsic rewards (Meaningfulness, Choice, Competence, Progress) will result in a path to Sustainable Engagement and Fulfillment for you as a leader. Is it important to manage your own intrinsic rewards? Provide a yes or no answer and discuss your reasons. What do you think of figures 6-9 “charting my own sense of …. Discuss your patterns of ratings: “left of the midpoint, midpoint to three-quarters mark, right of the three-quarters mark and the implications. Why is one or more of your intrinsic rewards more of a problem for you than others? Lastly, tell us what you think but please make sure you give us your informed opinion complete with reference material.
